By focusing on the relationship between structure (the body) and function (the nervous system), Chiropractors specifically work with distressed areas of the body to create ease in the entire system, which improves your overall health and vitality.

Dr. Amanda Maharaj

Dr. Amanda has always wanted to be in the healthcare field; however, it was not until she started to get adjusted that she wanted to be a chiropractor. After sustaining multiple injuries while playing rugby and experiencing constant headaches with little relief from traditional medicine, she began receiving chiropractic care. Her life and career path irrevocably changed at that point.

Now, armed with her doctorate and an incredible passion for chiropractic, Dr. Amanda has joined The Spine Studio to share her expertise with the world. She specializes in spinal and extremity care, and a variety of myofascial techniques, all of which allow her to create specific and personalized solutions to maintain and support each individual’s active lifestyle.

Dr. Derek Ko
(He/Him/His) D.C.

Dr. Derek specializes in restoring the body’s function by working with the neuromusculoskeletal (nerves, muscle, and skeleton) systems.

He often integrates rehabilitative exercises, soft tissue work, and extremity adjustments to enhance the outcome of Chiropractic care. He is also the Lead Chiropractor at Lifelong Medical Care, a non-profit healthcare organization that serves the underserved communities throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, and Marin counties.

She has over a decade of experience caring for people of all ages and health backgrounds, unlocking each individual’s healing capabilities to improve their health and quality of life. She specializes in rib cage, pelvic cavity, and extremity care.
